The Selex E781 Experiment
|

|
This is the layout of the Selex experiment many of the people involved in high energy physics here at the University of Iowa are involved with. The experiment consists of a high energy particle beam which makes it's way through a series of detectors an d is bent by a magnetic field along the way. The particles' trajectory through the detectors can be determined from this data and information about the particle can be found. The event that is of particular interest for this experiment is charmed baryon d ecays, although other events are also of interest. More information and pictures about the hardware and software involved in this experiment can be found, by following the desired link. |
